Natalie Lundeen

I was born in Los Angeles in 1987, where I currently live and work. Art was my first love. I taught myself to paint with watercolors when I was 14, with the help of a tall stack of library books, and learned traditional methods of drawing and oil painting at Mission: Renaissance in Pasadena. I have continued learning in the studio of Joseph Todorovitch, as well as workshops with Scott Eaton, Richard Morris and Glen Orbik.

Aside from the beauty I see in people and day-to-day life, much of my inspiration comes from travel. After a short trip I come home with several thousand pictures, which I will then base my compositions on. After many hours of sorting through these photographs, I end up with a small number that I feel passionate about painting. I hope to convey with my artwork the feelings and beauty that I experienced firsthand, so that my viewers can experience it as well.

I have been juried in as a Mentor Member of the California Art Club.
