Short Bio

Chelsea Cohen’s love affair with words, cinema and the arts has lead her to many places on her creative journey, from owning and operating an independent film production company to teaching creative writing and film at a private high school to seeing the release of her first book of poetry, Beatnik Femme Fatale, available on Amazon.com.

An arts activist, in 2010 Chelsea founded Artists Underground, an artists community that hosts collaborative art events and brings valuable networking, resources and knowledge to artists through artists-underground.com.

In her spare time, she likes listening to jazz and Sinatra while drinking goblets of red wine and chopping and searing things in the kitchen. She is forever plotting her escape up the coast to San Francisco, but will settle for now with the amazing life she has here in LA.

Long Bio

Chelsea Cohen’s love affair with words, cinema and the arts has lead her to many places on her creative journey, from owning and operating an independent film production company to teaching creative writing and film at a private high school to seeing the release of her first book of poetry, Beatnik Femme Fatale, available through beatnikfemmefatale.com and Amazon.com. She is currently in the second editing cycle on her first novel, a bittersweet domestic satire about art, life and their oft times ironic misalignment.

An arts activist passionate about business and marketing, in 2010 Chelsea founded Artists Underground, an ever-growing creative community of artists of all walks. Artists Underground hosts collaborative art events and brings valuable networking, resources and knowledge to artists through artists-underground.com and a weekly talk radio bit, the Well-Fed Artist on Soapbox Radio.

Chelsea is also a core member of the Soapbox Danger Team, helping to provide career consulting and artist services to artists in the LA area with Soapbox Nation at spreadthesoap.com.

Chelsea’s biggest aspiration is to create a network of Artist Centers around the world to better aid artists in accomplishing their creative goals, to breath more art and life into this world and to generally allow people to live the lives they’ve always wanted.

In her spare time though, she likes listening to jazz and Sinatra while drinking goblets of red wine and chopping and searing things in the kitchen. She is forever plotting her escape up the coast to San Francisco, but will settle for now with the amazing life she has here in LA.
